Sustainable Steel, Good Union Jobs, & Healthier Communities
Upgrading steel plants takes community support, investment, and advocacy. We’re here to help.
The Sustainable Steel Community Cohort aims to support the steel industry by helping bring the benefits of sustainable steel to Northwest Indiana and increasing good-paying union jobs.
By combining political education and storytelling, participants will develop a vision for how to grow the local economy, protect worker health, and address industrial impacts on land, water, air, and community health.
Storytelling and Media Training
We’re harnessing the power of storytelling to uplift the voices of those living near steel mills to shape the story of steel.
Political and Advocacy Education
Through political and advocacy education, we empower impacted residents to advocate for their health, quality of life, and jobs.
